Before I helped clients refine brands, craft strategic messaging, and finally get seen by the right people — I was that business owner too: overwhelmed, stretched thin, trying every trend under the sun, and still not really booking like I'd hoped.

Or booking, just not the right clients or projects.

You want more clarity. More confidence. A brand that actually works (and runs itself, if we're being honest), not just looks pretty. And the trick to that, is having someone help you zoom out and get back to the bigger picture.

You might recognize yourself here...

“Why isn’t any of this working? Who actually wants what I do? And how do I get them to notice me?”
I’ve lived that.

You know that feeling when you’ve done all the things — tweaked your copy, changed your offer, updated your visuals — yet you still wake up wondering:

A practical, strategy-first approach: we sort out who you’re talking to and what actually matters to them before we design anything.

Hi, I’m Meaghan. I help business owners untangle their brand, sharpen their message, and stop second-guessing how they show up.

And now for the personality portion of the program... People need to know/like/trust you to buy from you, and that goes for hiring me, too—consider this a vibe check.

A little fluff.

I’ve worked with a wide range of small businesses and founders over the years — from early-stage ideas to brands you’ve probably seen around.

I helped turn a rapidly growing Instagram following into something profitable during lockdowns (iykyk), have had the honour of seeing brands I helped bring to life show up in places like Indigo and Well.ca, and collaborated with business owners across industries to turn their spark of an idea into a reality.

Millson + Main was born in Calgary, and is now based back in Ontario, Canada. I’m in the thick of my three-under-six season of life, which has deeply shaped how I work: collaboratively, efficiently, and with a strong bias toward clarity and momentum.

I’m known for helping clients offload what’s in their head, find their clear next move, and supporting them alongside it.

… and burned out in a pretty predictable way.

Long story long...

Before taking the big leap into entrepreneur life (year eight, and that label still feels like a leap), I worked in-house for a home builder in Calgary as their sole designer. I had built 14 websites in 9 months, marketing packages complete with custom die-cut and embossed folders, designed hundreds of metres of construction fence banners, churned out what felt like a thousand GIFs, retargeting ads, newsletters — even a TV commercial.

If you want the whole synopsis, Millson + Main officially started in 2018, but I’d been doing some version of this long before that.

I can remember sneaking onto the family computer as early as grade 7 to “play” on a bootleg copy of Adobe Illustrator, so… this was inevitable.

Armed with my peak 20-something optimism (and undiagnosed ADHD), I started craving variety — the pull of working across different industries instead of being tied to a single brand.

Before that role, I worked at a small branding agency after joining the design-school-drop-out club, completing ¾ of my Bachelor of Design at York University / Sheridan College, while freelancing and working in print shops pretty much my entire life.
